Announcements

Brother Carl Ballard from Eastside church of Christ (Pittsburgh, PA) will be here for a gospel meeting on Friday May 17th through Sunday May 19th. In preparation, he would like us to read at least Leviticus chapters 1-11

He is excited about teaching from the book of Leviticus and hopes to give us a better appreciation of that book.

Because of the gospel meeting schedule for May 17th through May 19th, 2024, there will be no Bible study for the men or ladies on the Spanish speaking side that weekend. If studies are rescheduled, those dates will be shared.

MEMBER ALERT:

Bible classes: The 2nd quarter of our “Shaping Hearts” Bible class curriculum starts on Sunday April 7, 2024. The walls of the hallway, showcases great stories in Exodus. These accounts teach us about God’s mighty hand, and His power. God rescues the Israelites from the Oppressor, the Passover Lamb provides salvation, and the red sea is parted to allow the Israelites to escape. Your child will learn how the Old Testament is truly a tutor to lead us to Christ (Galatians 3:24). This is exciting

Lessons are taught Sundays 10-10:45am, and Wednesdays 7:30- 8:15pm. We encourage you to bring your young ones to both classes so the can benefit most from lessons. Our prayer and goal is that our young ones will love the Truth and internalize the Truths in scriptures so they may become obedient and faithful disciples of Christ. Let us all do our part to encourage our young ones to memorize scripture, develop holy habits, and love to come to Bible classes and worship services. Parents and guardians, we are honored to journey with you on this path. If you did not receive the Bible class letter from our shepherds, please contact brothers Kwaku or Riley

Note-taking sheets are available for children and adults in the foyer, located on the wall above the communion supplies table. The Bible class teachers want to encourage kids to take notes during worship services, hoping to train them to listen, record, and remember Bible facts.

Mark your calendar for the upcoming Vacation Bible School (VBS) scheduled for June 26 through June 29, 2024. See Kim Bramble or Arnoldo Velasquez for further details.

Pray for our shepherds and the flock (our congregation): that we may all submit to the Lord's will and His design for His Church that He purchased with His own blood (Acts 20:28, 31; 1 Thessalonians 5:11-24; 1 Timothy 3:1-7; 5:1-21; Titus 1:6-15; 1 Peter 5:1-11).

MEMORY VERSES

Matthew 5:14-16 “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden;nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. “

Matthew 10:32 “Therefore, everyone who confesses Me before people, I will also confess him before My Father who is in heaven.

“This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.”(Daily Reading, ESV)
